Welcome to the Elfde Gebod! The Eleventh Commandment (Het Elfde Gebod) is a unique restaurant-café in the old town of Antwerp, Belgium. It has a spectacular interior decked with angels, saints, pulpits and several deliciously sacrilegious visual jokes. We serve local Belgian cuisine and a big variety of famous beers. Beers include the local Koninck, Trappiste Westmalle dubbel, St. Bernardus Abt 12 and much more. The restaurant-café is located next to the The famous Cathedral of our Lady (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal). The ancient religious statues are in style with the Kathedral right across the street and the place has a long history. It is a must-see place when visiting Antwerp and it is mentioned in many tourist guides. It is the place everyone remembers form Antwerp. "The Eleventh Commandment" – this is to eat well, drink a lot of tasty beer and have lots of fun. So in general: YOU SHALL ENJOY!

Das Interieur des Restaurants ist absolut aussergewöhnlich. Als ich dort gegessen habe, gab es live Musik . Das Essen und der Service waren gut und die Ambiance sehr besonders.

Love the deco & history of this restaurant....

Love the deco & history of this restaurant. The food was good however would have preferred some Witlof salad on the side as most restaurants serve with stoofvlees dish. Can order this as a side at extra cost. But the stoofvlees was delicious. On our visit there was a plumbing issue so the upstairs area of the toilets had a lot of standing water & it smelt heavy of urine.

Snelle en vlotte bediening en heel lekker eten. We zaten ook 'iets' rustiger want in de grote zaal boven was er veel lawaai, en beneden was er een live-optreden ;-)
